About the oil
Is this real batana oil, or just relabeled palm oil?
Fair question - it's the one people ask most in this whole category, and honestly, a lot of what's sold out there isn't the real thing. Ours is 100% raw, unrefined batana, sourced from La Mosquitia in Honduras, and we can show you exactly where it comes from. Real batana even tells on itself: that warm, roasted, coffee-like scent is hard to fake.
Will it leave my hair greasy or build up like castor oil?
Batana is a rich, real oil, so the trick isn't the oil - it's how much you use. Work a small amount through your scalp and lengths a few times a week and it does the job; pile any oil on and it'll feel heavy. Start small, and let it earn its place.
How long until I see results?
We're not going to hand you a "3 weeks" promise - that would be a lie, and you've been lied to enough. Real batana works on a weeks-to-months timeline with steady, few-times-a-week use. The people who love it are the ones who gave it real time.
Why does it cost more than plain palm oil at the store?
Because it isn't plain palm oil. This is raw, unrefined batana - hand-harvested and prepared the traditional way by families in Honduras, then sealed and quality-checked before it ships. You're paying for real, traceable sourcing and the work behind it, not a cheap commodity oil with a nicer label.
Will the next jar match the last one?
Yes - and it matters to us, because "the second jar smelled different" is one of the most common complaints in this category. We check every batch so your reorder looks, smells, and performs like your first. Same color, same roasted scent, same oil.
Is the jar full, sealed, and safe?
Yes. Under-filled jars, broken seals, and the occasional spoiled batch are real problems out there - so we fill every jar to the line, seal it properly, and quality-check it before it ships. What you pay for is what shows up at your door.
Could it irritate my scalp?
Batana is a raw, undiluted oil, so like any potent oil it won't agree with absolutely everyone. Start with a small amount, and do a quick patch test first if your scalp is sensitive. If you're pregnant, nursing, or have a scalp condition, check with your doctor.
Orders, shipping & returns
What are your shipping and processing times?
Orders take 1 business day to process before shipping, and orders placed before 2 PM EST ship the same day. From there: USA is 3-5 business days and other countries are 5-9 business days. Shipping is free on orders over $75.
How will I know my order is confirmed?
Once your payment goes through, you'll get a confirmation email with your order details. If it's not in your inbox, check your spam/junk folder - and if it's still missing, email contact@nativaeorganics.com and we'll sort it out.
What's your return policy?
If it's not for you, we'll make it right. We accept returns on both defective and non-defective products - new or slightly used - as long as you start the return within 30 days of your purchase date. No restocking fees, and return shipping is free.
How do I start a return or exchange?
Email us at contact@nativaeorganics.com and we'll send a free return label to print. Package the item securely, attach the label, and drop it with your local courier. For an exchange, just tell us which item you'd like instead.
How long do refunds take?
Refunds are processed within 10 business days after we receive and approve your return, back to your original payment method.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and digital wallets (PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay). Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout based on your shipping address. If a payment fails, double-check your details and try again, or contact your payment provider - and email us if you're still stuck.
